Model Kate Bock married NBA Cleveland Cavaliers player, Kevin Love, over the weekend in a beautiful ceremony at the New York Public Library. The couple met in 2016 in New York while shooting with the same photographer, according to the New York Post. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model dazzled on her wedding day, wearing a custom Ralph Lauren, high neck, long-sleeve, hand-beaded gown with a circular train.

The backless, lacey gown took over 1,800 hours to make, Vogue reported, and was covered in 2 million beads that were hand placed and hand embroidered. The model told the outlet, “I took inspiration from Grace Kelly’s lace dress, and we created a modern-day beaded gown that was totally my style.” No dress is complete without a veil, and Bock’s was around 4-feet long. Her wedding planner, Marcy Bloom, joked with the outlet, saying, “This veil is going to give me a heart attack!” She added, “It’s the world’s longest veil—it goes to the outer boroughs!”

Bock spoke about why the couple chose to get married at the New York Public Library and recalled her first date with the NBA player to People saying, “Kevin and I are both very curious people and love literature, art, and history and the New York Public Library encompasses all of that in such a romantic setting. It evokes the old-school New York glamour we were searching for and is so iconic to the city that we love. We also love that it is so close by to the place we had our first date — the St. Regis Hotel.”

“The city is so much a part of our story and it felt so right to bring all of our favorite people together into such an iconic New York City institution,” Bock said.
