Last weeks, throngs of Kanye West  fans — along with attendees who wanted to merely witness the cultural experience — filled Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the rapper’s impromptu public listening party. The event, announced just three days in advance, welcomed listeners to the first glimpse of the long-awaited Donda project. And while fans left the arena ecstatic over the surprise reunion of Jay Z & Ye’s sonic alchemy, reports are saying that the multihyphenate is indefinitely staying behind to complete the album.

On Saturday, fans spotted West sporting the same outfit from his Thursday performance where he unsurprisingly stuck to his M.O. of making headlines by standing on the floor’s white tarp without any live audio. In his unmistakable red puffer coat and nude stockinged masks, photographs of West at the Atlanta United soccer game begin circulating and questions arose of what could possibly prolong his stay.

According to initial reports from TMZ, West and his team have been provided to space for a living area and inside the stadium, along with a personal chef to prepare meals. A stadium spokesperson also confirmed the rumors to Insiderstating “We’ve been able to accommodate his needs while he’s with us.”

Donda will arrive as West’s tenth studio album and has been reported as a seeming tribute to his late mother. Fans were first introduced to the horizon the forthcoming thematic era with West’s collaboration with Travis Scott on “Wash Us In The Blood” last year. After a year of delays, presumably because of COVID-19 (and Ye’s penchant for pent-up anticipation), West first uncovered the offering at a private listening party earlier last week. As footage from the intimate event released, unauthenticated reports of the album’s July 23 release swelled across the internet and West later confirming the debut in a viral advert with Sha’Carri Richardson. As of late, fans are anxiously eyeing August 6 as the ultimate premiere.
