For the past decade, the Kardashians have dominated the celebrity news cycle. But before even Kim Kardashian’s career was a twinkle in Kris Jenner’s eye, Jennifer Lopez was doing it first. As the singer, actress and dancer’s recent Netflix documentary perfectly highlights, Lopez has been — and remains — a vital part of our culture, where she’s sat for well over 20 years, back when she was breaking Google images by wearing a dress on the red carpet (and dating the man she’s married to today).
Fast-forward to now and we’re still all talking about J.Lo. First, there was her Las Vegas wedding to Ben Affleck — the man she first got engaged to over two decades ago — last week, then it became all about the couple’s honeymoon in Paris (and Lopez’s brilliant vacation style), and now, for the real kicker, Lopez is celebrating her 53rd birthday not just with a date night in the city of love with her new husband, but with a naked photoshoot she’s released to the world. But of course.
Posing completely naked with her signature bronde hair in loose waves, Lopez looks toned, fit and confident, telling People, “I am the age I am, but I feel amazing and happier than ever.” She continued, “I feel like I’m just at my halftime right now and just getting started.”
A true businesswoman through and through, the images were taken to coincide with the release of Lopez’s latest product release, JLo Body by JLo Beauty: a product, as she explained in her newsletter, that was created to highlight everyone’s best “asset” — the butt — with a new “FIRM + FLAUNT Targeted Booty Balm.”
While talking about JLo Body, Lopez also told the outlet that Affleck prefers her in her natural state. “He is like, ‘I like you when you have nothing on. No hair on, no makeup on, just you in your own skin,” she said. “He really appreciates that. And that makes me feel really confident and beautiful. Someone can see the essence of who you are and just the skin that you’re in and that I take care of that and that he appreciates that. That makes me feel really beautiful too.”
