Among the many things three-year-old Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper has inherited from her supermodel mom Irina Shayk is a serious penchant for Burberry. Granted, the toddler—the daughter of Shayk and her ex Bradley Cooper—is probably not yet picking out her own outfits, but thanks to Shayk’s standing as a friend and muse for Burberry designer Riccardo Tisci, the genetically blessed tot has already built up a covetable designer collection.

Yesterday Shayk and her daughter braved the rainy New York City autumn wearing ridiculously cute ‘mommy and me’ matching coats, both featuring the trademark Burberry check. Shayk wore a navy trench with tights, an A-line skirt and matching black silk shirt by Instagram-approved brand Orseund Iris and Linda Farrow sunglasses. She finished the look off with Chanel’s culty new winter boots: the high fashion wellie.

Shayk’s notably high-fashion lockdown style has been one of the few highlights of the past few months. Since March, the supermodel has been papped in a heady mix of new season pieces. Last week she was photographed taking her daughter to the Central Park zoo while wearing a silk Burberry tracksuit. On another occasion she wore leather trousers and combat boots to pick up Lea from pre-school.

Thanks to the pandemic, most models have been unable to commit to their usual rotation of far-flung photoshoots. Meaning that aside from a runway appearance at Versace’s socially-distanced spring summer 21 show in Milan this past September, Shayk has been keeping things relatively lowkey. For the time being, she’ll have to make do with putting our daily sweatpants-and-sneakers outfits to shame.
