The first launch, a range of silky lipsticks, drew inspiration from the storied brand archives (including leather and silk twillys), whilst the second installment of blushers was an homage to the color “rose.”
Beauty rarely plays a major role on the Hermès runway, but at the Spring 2023 show yesterday in Paris, artfully-placed neutral hues were a focus.
Fresh skin (presumably prepped with the Plein Air complexion balm) was accentuated with a subtle gloss, whilst a swirl of blush was barely swept across the cheeks. The eyes were dusted with soft neutral shades: caramel, taupe, beige, peach and camel. Hermès don’t currently have eye products within the lineup, but perhaps this is proof that the perfect neutral palette isn’t far off.
Lips were also subtle but beautiful, accentuated with just a tiny amount of neutral lipstick and hydrating balm.
Hair followed a similar suit: clean, glossy, shiny and natural.
While there wasn’t much to it, the beauty look was chic and elevated; the perfect inspiration for new season neutrals.
