Harry Styles

Harry Styles is back! And no, this isn’t an April Fools joke.

Three years after releasing his last album, Watermelon Sugar, the Grammy Award-winning artist dropped his highly-anticipated new single, “As It Was” from his upcoming record, Harry’s House on April 1. Along with creating another sure-fire chart-topper, he also released an accompanying music video that came with plenty of great fits courtesy of his longtime stylist Harry Lambert, that sent “Hazza” (Styles’ fanbase) into a frenzy on social media.

Continuing to live up to his last name, the video opens with the 28-year-old musician in a crowd of commuters in an oh-so-chic bright red trench coat by Bianca Saunders (a 2021 ANDAM Grand Prize Winner) paired with a fuzzy mohair Dries Van Noten black scarf. Styles then tosses the coat aside, revealing a red sequin two-piece set that he teased in the album’s promo photos on Twitter earlier this week. The ensemble was by Paris-based Spanish fashion designer Arturo Obegero that draws inspiration from the fashion and dance scene in Spain.

During the sequence, Styles jumps onto a moving platform where he meets a woman wearing a matching sequin set in blue. The two spin around showing off 360-degree angles of the jazzy outfits (which already have their own microwave meme!). Every detail of the pair’s looks were coordinated perfectly, down to the nail polish, which we assume was courtesy Styles’ new beauty brand, Pleasing.

Later, Styles strips down to his boxers, which according to @hsfashionarchive (an Instagram account dedicated to Styles’ fashion), were dyed red for the music video by Lambert’s assistant stylist — talk about committing to fashion.

The song itself touches on Styles’ personal life and features a vocals by the musician’s goddaughter Ruby Winston (the daughter of British producer Ben Winston) saying “Come on Harry, we want to say goodnight to you!”

The Hazza’s also think the lyrics are directed towards his relationship with actress Olivia Wilde (who shares two kids with ex Jason Sudeikis), when the ending verse mentions a significant other from America. “Leave America, two kids follow her. I don’t wanna talk about who’s doin’ it first.”

In March, Styles released the cover art for his upcoming album, wearing a white baby doll collared “Iwona” blouse with red stitching, wide-leg “Jorg” jeans, and a pair of white “Albie” ankle-tie leather ballet flats all from Molly Goddard’s Spring/Summer 2022 ready-to-wear collection. While we wait for the full drop on May 20, we’re sure to be in store for even more memorable style moments to come.
