We all saw Hailey Bieber at the MTV Video Music Awards last week. Wearing a translucent white long-sleeve ALAÏA dress with shimmering pink glitter eye makeup, the model was hard to miss as she cheered on her husband Justin Bieber during his energetic set at the event, before later stepping on stage to introduce Kacey Musgraves‘ performance. But what you might’ve missed – I know I did – was the model doing a quick-change backstage.
Before rejoining her husband in the audience at the annual event, Bieber slipped into something a little more comfortable – although it was hardly more casual. As @haileyrbiebercloset revealed on Instagram, Bieber opted for a simple white cropped tank top from x karla with a pair of statement green feathered Bottega Veneta jeans, which come with a price-tag of more than $18,000.
While Bieber’s look for the main stage received worthy attention, we’d argue that these embellished jeans deserved far more of the spotlight than they initially received. Dubbed the Soft Denim Feather Pants ($23,120), the high price tag certainly hasn’t deterred shoppers, with the style almost completely selling out worldwide. The denim features a subtle stone wash and a baggy shape, along with dozens of green feathers that plume outwards.
It’s a tricky look to wear, but the model pulls it off with ease. Of course, it’s hardly surprising to see Bieber step out in Bottega Veneta, having cemented herself as one of the house’s biggest celebrity fans in recent years. From the designer’s iconic Pouch bags in every color to a $13,000 shearling coat from the brand’s autumn winter 2021 collection, it seems Bieber worships at the altar of Daniel Lee just like the rest of us.
And while we mightn’t have the cash to snap up this feathered masterpiece from the house, we’ll happily allow Bieber to showcase the jeans on our behalf.
