Just when we thought there wasn’t anything left for Gwyneth Paltrow to say to surprise us, she did it again. The Goop founder showed off her expertly-designed home for Architectural Digest, taking viewers through each beautiful room, and explaining the thoughtful design elements that went into each nook and cranny. But what really stopped us in our tracks was when she showed off her home spa. Yes, you read that right.

The Oscar-winning actress has a full-on spa in her California home that looks like one you’d find at a 5-star hotel. Paltrow explained that when she was conceiving what the house would look like, she wanted to create her “forever home” and include things she would utilize for a long time. For the Goop guru, that included a spa.

“This is kind of the most incredible thing of the house,” she said of her spa oasis. “You know, I’m into wellness so I feel like it’s justified, right? Maybe I can write it off as a business expense.”

Modeled after the Parisian spa, Bain de la Marais, the room has a cold plunge, hot tub, a steam room and sauna, which all get used often. “I come in here every day,” Paltrow said. “I use it all the time.”

She told the outlet that she built the house from the ground-up and worked with Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch of Roman and Williams to design her dream home.

“The kids were much younger when I embarked on this project, and I wasn’t married to Brad, so I was ideating for a future self that didn’t exist yet,” she said of her two teenage children, Apple and Moses, and husband Brad Falchuk.

Now, Paltrow’s perfect home is complete and we’re filled with envy over her serene spa experience.
