In 2020 we were shocked to learn that Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis split after nine years together. It wasn’t until later that we learned via a myriad of Twitter reactions, that the filmmaker had sparked a romance with Harry Styles. The pair met on the set of Don’t Worry Darling and struck an affair which is believed to have prompted her breakup to the Ted Lasso star.

The long-awaited film is set to make a world premiere at the Venice Film Festival this month but the red carpet won’t be without some tension. According to a source for Page Six, co-star Florence Pugh was understandably upset with the affair during production.

“I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason when she first hooked up with Harry,” an insider told the publication.

“Jason and the kids visited Olivia on set at the beginning a few times, so I think this all made people feel a little uncomfortable,” the source added.

According to a previous report from the outlet, the affair was the main reason for the split between Wilde and Sudeikis with one source revealing it left the Saturday Night Live star “distraught.” It wasn’t until nearly 12 months later that the actor moved on with British actress and model Keeley Hazell.

Eagled-eyed fans have added further gossip to the rumor mill this week after a tiny detail was noticed on social media. Last week in an Instagram post, Wilde shared a photo from behind-the-scenes of the upcoming film. She wrote in the caption, “Watching this woman work was such a f**king thrill! Cannot wait to show you more. @florencepugh@dontworrydarling.” Pugh had failed to “like” the tribute.

This should be taken with a grain of salt of course. How many of us has missed a notification, let alone with Pugh’s 7.7 million followers? Twitter is convinced the feud is ongoing given the actress’s silence on promoting the new film, even after the release of two trailers.

One fan tweeted, “The way Florence Pugh has yet to post about don’t worry darling even though there are two trailers out for it and yet she’ll post about every single other project that she’s doing right now like what did Olivia Wilde do ????”

Is there any substance to the rumors? Stay tuned for the Venice Film Festival red carpet.
