Fashion evangelists take note: Ridley Scott’s upcoming crime thriller House of Gucci has finally come to fruition. Today, Lady Gaga shared a first look of the film via social media and in the process promised plenty of big style moments. Looking chic in lavish après-ski wear, the actress appears with Adam Driver in an unknown location in a snow-covered Europe.

Gaga captioned the Instagram post, “Signore e Signora Gucci #HouseOfGucci.” It translates to “Mr. and Mrs. Gucci.”

On March 9, Driver was spotted on set. Behind-the-scenes images reveal the actor wearing an all-white ski jumpsuit (how very late-80s) before taking to the slopes on skis.

Based on the novel of the same name and written by Sara Gay Forden, Driver will play Maurizio Gucci while Gaga portrays Gucci’s ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani. The forthcoming film will depict a dramatization of the true story of the assassination of Gucci and the subsequent fall of the fashion family dynasty. Reggiani was tried and convicted of orchestrating Mr. Gucci’s murder in 1995 after he left her for a younger woman. She served 18 years in prison and was released in 2016.

The “Poker Face” singer has been spotted several times in the city of Rome while filming House of Gucci. Last week, Gaga was barely recognizable with brunette hair as she stepped into the street wearing a white Max Mara suit.

This is the 34-year-old’s next big role following her Oscar-nominated performance opposite Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born. According to E! News, she is also rumored to be in talks to star alongside Brad Pitt in the thriller movie Bullet Train. Driver has also garnered Academy Award nominations for his roles in Marriage Story and Blackkklansman.

House of Gucci will also star Jared Leto and Al Pacino. MGM holds distribution rights with a release expected for late November of 2021.
