In typical Dakota Johnson fashion, the actress turned heads over the weekend, seen picking out a bouquet of flowers in Los Angeles. Hardly evoking the “coastal grandmother” aesthetic of summer 2022, Johnson’s studded leather pencil skirt, and asymmetrical black bedazzled top with one long sleeve emitted an edgy look, juxtaposed with the blooming flowers behind her. The actress teamed her outfit with white strappy pumps and a Gucci Jackie handbag.
According to the DailyMail, she was shooting an upcoming project and also stepped out again in another look at the flower stand. Sporting a layered set of pearls and a full-length navy blue trench coat, Johnson partially covered her knee-high buckled leather boots and a white handbag in tow.
Hot off the heels of her latest press tour (where she served some serious suiting looks), Johnson’s new film Cha Cha Real Smooth (out June 17) tells the tale of a man who works as a Bar Mitzvah party host, and his friendship with a young woman (played by Dakota) and her teenage daughter. Johnson stars in the film with Everybody Loves Raymond‘s Brad Garrett and Johnson’s How to Be Single costar Leslie Mann.
Johnson also has a new Netflix film, the Jane Austen adaptation Persuasion, coming out July 15.
While we don’t know details on the project she was seen filming over the weekend, we know the actress is set to star in the forthcoming Marvel movie Madame Web alongside Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney and the upcoming Christy Hall film Daddio alongside Sean Penn.
