Brooklyn Beckham proposing

When Brooklyn Beckham announced to the world that he was marrying his model girlfriend Nicola Peltz earlier this month, the proposal looked like it happened in a sunny lavender field somewhere in Europe.

Peltz – the 25-year-old daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz and model Claudia Heffner – was dressed in a canary yellow Victoria Beckham SS20 dress and placed a tender diamond-adorned hand on her new fiancé’s face. Beckham’s younger sister, Harper Seven, had taken the dreamy shot too, which added to the precious moment.

But it turns out the proposal actually happened earlier at a private house. In new pictures posted to both Peltz and Beckham’s Instagram accounts, the eldest son of David and Victoria is seen on one knee, as the model is seated next to a plate of chopped up cucumber and surrounded by candles. Both seem emotional and, by Beckham’s caption, painfully in love.

“Can’t imagine a life without you baby. You make me feel so special and make me laugh all the time,” he posted. “I will always take care of you and will always have your back.”

“I’m so in love with you, my hearts going to EXPLODE,” Peltz replied.

See the moment below where you can see Peltz looking a little nervous and embracing her father after the proposal. It’s all really quite sweet.

In February, weeks before Europe went into lockdown, GRAZIA’s sister publication ICON traveled to Paris to shoot their biannual cover with Beckham. In the interview, he told me of his love for New York City, having lived there as a photography student while attending Parsons University in 2017. Aside from recommending I eat at a pizza restaurant in Brooklyn called Lucali, Beckham talked about his dreams of living in the Big Apple again someday.

“I’ve always been in love with New York. Everywhere you go, there’s interesting people, interesting places to take pictures, the food is great – I’m a very big food guy,” he said. “When I moved to New York, it was amazing. I loved it, it’s where I want to be based when I’m a bit older and I’d like to start a family there,” he says.

We wish the couple the very best.
