Victoria Beckham – the woman who famously wore the slogan tee which read “Fashion Stole My Smile” – is as famous for hardly ever showing her teeth as she is her eponymous label and a Spice Girls peace sign. It seemed surprising, or jarring even, then to see a picture of her pop up on Instagram on Tuesday with a huge megawatt smile.
Beckham’s 15-year-old son Cruz posted a picture of himself and his mother wearing matching white robes and posing for a selfie in a mirror. The 46-year-old designer is seen flashing a huge smile, such a rare sight that even Cruz captioned the image, “Apparently my mum does smile”.
But it was Beckham’s husband, former football player David Beckham, who is making headlines this morning for his subtle dig of his wife’s pearly whites. “How white are mum’s @victoriabeckham teeth? It’s Ross from Friends” he commented under his son’s post.

Fans of the 90s comedy sitcom will know that the 45-year-old was comparing Beckham’s teeth to the episode where Ross Geller (played by David Schwimmer) gets his teeth whitened ahead of a date. They are so white that later on in the night, when the lights dim, they glow in the dark. Next to the “Pivot” scene, this one is right up there with one of the most memorable.

No word if Beckham whitened her teeth in life or via a app – or if she just has super bronzed skin at the moment which is contrasted against her smile – but we think she looks great; a departure from her usual go-to:

Perish the thought,” Beckham said during an episode of her tongue-in-cheek reality show Victoria Beckham: Coming To America. She also famously said, “I actually used to smile a lot in pictures. I think I only stopped smiling when I got into fashion. Fashion stole my smile!”
