Blake Lively was spotted filming her latest project in New York City on Monday, sporting a fresh new fiery ‘do.
The Gossip Girl alum signed on to the film adaptation of the hit book, It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover. It marks her first film since welcoming her fourth child with husband Ryan Reynolds in February. Lively was spotted this week on set with her costar, Jane the Virgin actor Justin Baldoni, who is also directing the movie.
In images obtained by the Daily Mail, Lively wore an olive green halter neck sundress with a baby pink Carhartt T-shirt and a hot pink jacket worn on top. She carried beige canvas tote bag with the black Valentino Garavani monogram print, and wore patterned navy blue and purple socks and brown leather chunky loafers.
But what really stole the show was the actress’s new auburn locks, styled in voluminous beach waves.
Immediately following the film’s announcement back in January, Lively teased a photo of herself on her Instagram Stories, debuting a new hair color. She switched up her signature blonde locks to a deep mahogany shade. She’s been spotted since on the red carpet with her natural blonde hue, but maybe she’ll retain her red tresses post-production.
The film is based on Hoover’s 2016 bestselling novel of the same name and follows a young woman Lily, beginning a new chapter after college when she meets a guy Ryle, who she quickly falls for. Then, her first love, Atlas, comes back into her life.
It Ends with Us gained significant traction on TikTok last year and skyrocketed Hoover to be the current best-selling novelist in the U.S., with over 20 million books sold. It Ends With Us was the best-selling print book of 2022.
