Is that you, Barbie Ferreira? While at a New York City event on March 1, the Euphoria star debuted a new fiery look.
The actress, 25, sported a white dress and let her curly ringlets down. In January, Ferreira dyed her hair red, but it looks like she may have decided to add more pizzaz to her locks.
Ferreira took to Instagram on Wednesday, March 2, to show off an interesting look from what looks to be a film set. “barbie bradshaw,” she wrote, referring to Sex and the City‘s main character Carrie Bradshaw, who is played by Sarah Jessica Parker.
Of course, people loved the outfit. One person wrote, “Icon,” while another added, “I’d def read her column.”
A third person added, “Barbie Bradshaw for president.”
During season 2 of Euphoria, fans noticed that Ferreira’s character, Kat, was not around for many scenes. However, she explained why things were different this time around.
“I think what was hard about season one was that me and [creator] Sam [Levinson] were trying to figure out how to continue a storyline that kind of had a beginning, middle and end of sorts. We didn’t want to be redundant,” she told TODAY. “We didn’t want it to be like continuing the camming because I feel like that was a point in time where Kat just accidentally got into the wrong side of the internet for someone her age.”
“And she was exploring herself in ways that maybe wasn’t, and as everyone in Euphoria is, as productive. I mean, what is productive as a teenager? But I think it was trying to find a way of showing Kat’s eternal restlessness is always what kind of motivates her. She’s never satisfied with what’s happening around her,” she continued. “A lot of the characters, it’s kind of this restlessness, whether it be for drugs, or tension, or sex or something. It’s more of like, how do we strip that down because Kat’s confidence at the end of season one wasn’t real. It was more of a projection of what she thought she needed to do to kind of save herself from all the bad things that were happening to her.”
As for what the TV star hopes for in season 3, she replied: “I actually have no idea. I don’t know where to go from here.”
