Our girl Barbie Ferreira is officially the next big beauty face. The Euphoria star has been announced today as the new ambassador for iconic luxury brand YSL Beauty, where she joins the likes of Dua Lipa and Zoë Kravitz to promote the cosmetics arm of the French house.

While Ferreira’s character on the HBO hit may have taken a backseat this season (seriously, we demand more Kat), the star’s first campaign for the brand puts her back where she belongs – commanding the spotlight with bold, expressive makeup.

“I’ve never shied away from expressing myself through makeup,” Ferreira said of her partnership with the brand via press release. “Makeup is a passion of mine, and I’m so excited and honored to be working with YSL Beauty and the legacy the brand has built.”

Beyond just the detailed looks we see on screens in Euphoria, Ferreira has become a bonafide beauty icon in her own right, playing with inspiration from different eras to form a unique aesthetic loved by her Gen Z fans – who could forget the razor-thin brows with pink and lilac eyeshadow she wore to last year’s Met Gala?

“Barbie represents the brand’s vision of the future, pushing boundaries in both culture and beauty with freedom of expression at our core,” continued YSL Beauty’s VP Global Communications and Image David Iop in the press release. “We recognize her as a unique, inspired creative who inspires her community to embrace their edge and individuality.”

The campaign sees Ferreira don both a stripped-back look – with minimal makeup, groomed brows and a petal-hued pout – and high-voltage makeup, including shimmering emerald eyeshadow and fiery red lipstick. The first shoot is in promotion for YSL Beauty’s new Lash Clash mascara, which is yet to launch in Australia.

According to the brand, the mascara brush is said to be “the biggest brush ever created in [YSL Beauty] laboratories” which explains Ferreira’s voluminous lashes in the campaign shots.

While there’s no word yet on when Lash Clash will hit our shores, there’s no doubt Ferreira has sold it to us.
