On Tuesday, to his Instagram story, the Canadian emcee post a video of himself clad in his YMCMB hoodie (in reference to him and Nicki’s artistic genesis) and then followed-up with a snapshot of Nicki’s hot pink private studio.
Of course, fans of the pair are over the moon with the cryptic posts — especially as it swiftly followed the “Super Bass” emcee’s grand announcement via Instagram on Tuesday. Along with a boomerang of her smizing in her signature hot pink hair, Minaj wrote, “There’s something I urgently need to share with you guys. I’ll go LIVE on IG THURSDAY at 10:30 pm EST.” Reiterating the urgency, she continued, “This is VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT. Love you so much.”
Could this be the announcement that the Barbz (her sprawling international fandom) are dying to hear?! Minaj’s last Instagram live shockingly announced the re-release of her third mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty, on all platforms along with three brand new songs in tow. “I knew if I just re-released the mixtape without putting anything new, I knew y’all would cuss me the f*ck out,” Minaj said on the live. The banger-filled tracklist included a Cash Money Records reunion as the newly-added single “Seeing Green” featured the label’s forefather Lil Wayne and Drake.
