Hennessy Paradis hosted an intimate gathering of tastemakers and A-listers in California’s Joshua Tree desert to toast its brand-new campaign, “Paradis(e) Is on Earth,” in partnership with the maison’s first female brand ambassador, renowned musician Alicia Keys.
The exclusive fête took place on Tuesday at the famed Kellogg Doolittle House to celebrate its crown jewel of cognac, Paradis. The Grammy-winner treated a group of 40 notable guests and close friends to a private concert when they gathered for a lavish dinner, complete with a killer view of the desert landscape.
Keys’ husband of over 12 years, producer Swizz Beatz was in attendance alongside actress Gabrielle Union, WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen, The White Lotus‘ Adam DiMarco, model and actor Alton Mason, singer-songwriter Moses Sumney, musician Troye Sivan, Chriselle Lim, Stella Maxwell, Samara Weaving and more.
Guests were treated to a tour of the property from owner Scott Leonard before sipping on drinks during cocktail hour with Hennessy brand executives, CEO Laurent Boillot and SVP Jasmin Allen. Then, everyone was seated for an extravagant three-course meal from James Beard Award semi-finalist chef Jesse Shenker.
As the new face of the brand, Keys put on a private performance for the starry crowd. The singer-songwriter gave fans what they were waiting for, singing five of her most beloved hit tracks, like “Empire State of Mind,” and “No One.” Keys played the piano, while musical artist Sherie accompanied her on the electric violin.
Music not only played a part of the memorable night, but it influenced Hennessy Paradis too. According to the brand, “sixth generation Master Blender Maurice Fillioux de Gironde took to classical, symphonic music as his inspiration in creating the melodic blend of the Maison’s rarest eaux-de-vie.”
