Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton and The White Lotus actor Lukas Gage are ready to tie the knot! A little less than a month after going public with their relationship and making their red carpet debut, the couple is reportedly engaged.
A source told People, the proposal took place weeks ago. “Friends in their circle are definitely shocked at how quick it happened, but they’re happy for them,” said the insider. “They seem like the real deal.” Another source close to Appleton said, “Chris has been looking for something real for a long time. This has moved fast but he is dazzled by Lukas.”
The high-profile haircare guru, who works with an A-list clientele including Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande, appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show to chat about his new relationship. “Listen, I’m very happy,” he said. “Very much in love, and I feel very grateful to be able to share my time with someone very special. Love is a really special thing, and I think meeting someone you connect with is really, really special.”
The pair sparked romance rumors in February when they both posted photos from their Mexican vacation at the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, posing together while four-wheeling on a mountaintop and standing in the water with their shades on.
Gage, who is known for his roles in Euphoria, The White Lotus and the latest season of You, made an appearance on the Today Show and opened up about Appleton. “I feel very happy, very lucky and very much in love,” he shared. “He’s a good-looking man. Something about being in London, I got a taste of the Brits and couldn’t help myself.
When the hosts showcased a photo of the couple snowboarding, Gage added, “Aw, look at us snowboarding. We have fun together. We go on adventures, and it’s the best.”
