More than ten years after they came together for the Sex and the City movie, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Hudson have reunited—and in Paris, the city of love, no less. In a photo posted to Instagram, Carrie Bradshaw and Louise from St. Louis posed together in front of the lit-up Eiffel Tower while both were visiting the French capital for the 2024 Olympics.
“Look who I ran into in Paris!!” wrote the Respect star in a caption along with the photo. “Carrie and Louise reunited at last! Love is the thing, you know! 😉 #SATC”
For those unfamiliar with the lore, Hudson is first welcomed into the SATC universe in the 2008 film. When a heartbroken Carrie is struggling to piece her life back together following a split with Big, Hudson’s character, Louise, enters her life as a wide-eyed assistant who is new to the city and full of Carrie’s old romantic ideals. She introduces Carrie to the world of designer bag rentals before heading back to her hometown sweetheart—leaving behind an organised inbox and some restored faith in love, while Carrie, in turn, gives Louise the gift of her very own Louis Vuitton bag.
While Hudson hasn’t made a reappearance on the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That, here’s hoping this run-in inspires a cameo.
