Margot Robbie is staying true to her on-screen character through her real-life wardrobe. Robbie arrived at CinemaCon 2023 on Tuesday afternoon in Las Vegas to promote the highly anticipated movie, Barbie, wearing a look straight out of the Mattel doll’s wardrobe.
Robbie, who plays the titular character, chose a pink and white Prada gingham check bralette bustier top with black ribbon detailing teamed with a matching miniskirt. The Babylon actress accessorized her Barbiecore ensemble with pink peep-toe mule kitten heels, a Chanel ankle bracelet and dainty heart-shaped diamond drop earrings.
The Amsterdam star wore her honey blonde hair straightened with a side part and maintained a luminescent complexion with a rose pink lip.
The ensemble draws a strong similarity to the pink-and-white gingham checked A-line dress the star wore in the film’s most recent trailer.
Robbie attended the event with her co-star Ken (a.k.a. Ryan Gosling), who also drew inspiration from their new movie for his outfit.
Gosling wore a Barbie pink Acne Studios bomber jacket over a white T-shirt that paid homage to the film’s director. The tee read, “From Director Greta Gerwig,” in the pink Barbie typeface. Gosling paired his look with dark wash denim jeans, a brown leather belt and tan lace-up shoes, and brought one other touch of Ken thanks to the blonde frosted tips in his hair.
Robbie and Gosling star alongside Academy Award-winner Emerald Fennell, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Hari Nef, Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Alexandra Shipp, Dua Lipa and Robbie lookalike, Death on the Nile’s Emma Mackey to name just a few stars who are bringing Barbie’s dream world to life.
Barbie hits theaters on July 21, 2023.
