Whether we want to believe it or not, summer is coming to a close, and soon enough, we’ll be transitioning our wardrobe to the latest 2021 fall trends. That being said, we at GRAZIA plan on making the most out of every day we have left of summer until it’s time to pull our trench coats. And what better way to do just that than in an itsy bitsy teenie weenie ruffled bikini by Tia Adeola?

Yep, you heard me right; the Nigerian designer based in NYC is set to launch her summer capsule collection, including her first-ever swimwear capsule. Adeola, whose designs are loved by celebrities Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, SZA, Gigi Hadid, Kali Uchis, Tessa Thompson, and many more, continues to challenge the status quo. Harnessing her designs, creative vision, and voice as a young Black woman, she’s developed a distinctive brand voice that’s clearly resonated with the fashion crowd.

The new styles include lycra swimwear in fuschia pink, charcoal grey, and sandy beige with ruched trim lines that recreate Tia Adeola’s oh-so iconic ruffle look. The Tia Adeola swimwear also features standouts like a stunning, textured boiled wool bodysuit with a mustard hue and exaggerated ties (matching wrap top included) and a cut-out flare pant set in sandy beige netting fabric. “The capsule was made with the Tia Adeola girl in mind, and how she re-enters the world after being locked up for so long and feeling like her best self,” the designer explains. “For me, it’s always been the feeling of walking into the room being your best self, and that room could be the pool or a dinner.”

Adeola isn’t slowing down anytime soon. For her eponymous label, the designer will also be launching made-to-order gowns in her visual masterpiece, Black is Beautiful. The made-to-order collection will feature detailed and intricate hand-embroidered jumpsuits and evening gowns, hand-boned corsets, suits with feminine tailoring, and sweeping pearl robes and is made with fabrics sourced from all over the globe including raw silk, swiss lace embroidery, Swarovski crystals, mesh, pearls, and faux feathers.
