In the emirate, you can have anything delivered to your door, from petrol and daily groceries to your favourite Starbucks order or a three-course meal from the most sought-after fine-dining haute spot, one UAE hospital group has raised the game and is offering at-home PCR testing.

Instead of queueing for a test at the mall, your nearest hospital, medical centre or clinic, or drive-through, for Dhs250, Medcare will send a fully gowned-up nurse to your home, office or address of your choice to administer your test. Your sample is then submitted to a certified lab for examination, and the results of your test will be shared back with you within 24 to 48 hours.

This is the latest in a series of home service offered by Medcare which include visits from doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists, and also selected vaccinations and lab tests.
