If things happen quickly in a New York minute, the five days of New York Fashion Week must amount to a month’s worth of the city’s average activity. From the return of the baguette bag to Travis Barker’s performance on the runway, plenty of unforgettable moments have been made during the fashion capital’s favourite month. With all of the back-to-back shows, online experiences, and parties, it’s easy to miss something. Ahead, all of the buzziest moments from NYFW Spring/September 2022.

Puma stepped into the Metaverse

Not only did Puma release its ‘FUTROGRADE’ collection during NYFW, but the ever-innovative activewear brand also launched its first phyigital products, Nitro NFRNO and Nitro Fastroid sneakers, alongside its metaverse experience, Black Station. The sneakers are attached to the brand’s NFT Nitropass mint, and holders of these NFTs were able to access the sneakers on the 7th by burning them in Black Station. This metaverse experience will be a mainstay for the brand moving forward, as Puma strengthens its presence in Web3 and defines its future-forward customer experience.

Travis Barker Performed During Tommy Hilfiger

Ponchos were the dress code at the Tommy Hilfiger show during NYFW. The brand released its “See Now, Buy Now” autumn 2022 collection on Sunday night at the Skyline Drive-In in Brooklyn during a downpour of rain. Travis Barker ran up on stage to hold a surprise performance during the show’s grand finale while the models walked down the runway lined with umbrellas.

SJP released Surprise Collaboration With Fendi

SATC fans rejoiced during NYFW due to the iconic collaboration between Fendi and Sarah Jessica Parker. The Italian fashion brand celebrated the 25th anniversary of its baguette bag by releasing its top-secret partnership with the actress on the runway, revealing its line of Carrie Bradshaw-inspired baguette bags.

Gigi Hadid releases her knitwear collection

Gigi Hadid hosted a pop-up in New York amid the buzz of NYFW for her first clothing line, Guest in Residence, a brand that specializes in knitwear. The supermodel had announced this project earlier this month, just ahead of NYFW, and now NYC residents can shop Hadid’s knitwear collection at her pop-up shop, “FEEL SHOP,” which will stay open through September 17th.
