Famous friends of Chanel gathered in Hollywood this evening, May 10th, for the Chanel Cruise 2024 fashion show at Paramount Pictures Studio in Los Angeles. Among the celebrity-filled crowd was Chanel ambassador Sofia Richie Grainge, who was accompanied by her husband, Elliot Grainge, to the event.
Fixtures of Hollywood stardom, like Paris Hilton (former co-star of Richie’s sister, Nicole Richie), also made an appearance at the event and was joined by celebrities-turned-Chanel-ambassadors, like the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood starlets Margot Robbie and Margaret Qualley.
Sofia Richie Grainge’s longstanding relationship with The French Maison started when Karl Lagerfeld cast her to walk in Chanel’s pre-autumn 2017 show. The relationship hit a high note mere weeks ago, when the 24-year-old model wore back-to-back custom Chanel looks during her April 22nd wedding to Grainge. With three looks total, Richie embodied the ultra-elegant “Chanel Bride” for her South of France destination wedding.
The GRWM videos from Richie’s four-day wedding event created a firestorm on TikTok, where a dedicated fanbase peeked behind the curtain of her chic bridal style and breathtaking venue. Not only did this short-form content increase Richie’s popularity, but it also meaningfully married her likeness to the heritage house in the mainstream public eye.

The model reverted to a page out of her wedding playbook for the Chanel event tonight. Right before the Chanel Cruise 2024 collection debut, she posted a “GRWM for the Chanel Cruise Show,” which revealed her head-to-toe look for the event, starting with a feather-lined blazer dress and ending with a classic pair of block heels.
For the event itself, Chanel planted a catwalk arena inside Paramount Pictures Studio’s back lot, which featured a video broadcast system that displayed dark clouds hanging over the runway. It created a visually compelling contrast with the candy-coloured clothing in the new collection, which was peppered with whimsical prints and optimistic patterns.
