Overnight Rolling Stone published an intimate interview with Adele ahead of her album release on November 19. The Grammy-winning artist moved to Beverly Hills in Los Angeles in 2016 where she remains to co-parent son Angelo, 9, with ex-husband Simon Konecki. Adele revealed that along the way, she forged a close friendship with former reality star Nicole Richie and actress Jennifer Lawrence. Invite please?

In all seriousness, Adele discussed with publication how the two women helped “humanise” her to forge relationships with other A-listers.

“They humanised me because I had avoided talking to anyone that was ever famous in any capacity, because I was like, ‘Well, I’m not famous.’ I’m very British like that,” Adele told the publication. “We never spoke about work, which was amazing, because most of the time when I catch up with someone, they want to know all about my work, and I’m like, ‘I don’t want to talk about that. Can we talk about something else? I’m knackered.'”

We already know that the singer is longtime friends with soon-to-be-mother, Lawrence. The pair met at the 2013 Oscars and were later seen enjoying a drag show at a New York City gay bar in 2019. The actress also penned a tribute to the “Chasing Pavements” singer for TIME Magazine in 2016.

“We all see her success. Her undeniable talent and beauty,” the Hunger Games star wrote. “But what you don’t see is what a wonderful mother she is. What a wonderful partner and friend she is. That she makes her son’s Halloween costumes. Adele is a gift, an international treasure, but she’s also sweet, funny, intelligent and beautiful. Bitch.”

It seems Adele’s circle of friends is growing. In October, Drew Barrymore revealed that Cameron Diaz brought the singer along to a dinner at Barrymore’s home to her surprise.

“We really just sat on the patio and, like, broke it down,” the Charlie’s Angels alumni said. “She does real talk and I loved every second of it.”
