That’s because the holy month is a time that centres on goodwill and unity shared between family, friends, and even celebrities who sustain parasocial relationships with their followers. From Her Majesty Queen Rania to Bella Hadid, we’ve rounded up the stars and public figures who have wished their followers a “Ramadan Kareem” on Instagram for Ramadan 2022.

Her Majesty Queen Rania wished her followers a blessed Ramadan this year, adding, “may your spirits remain high!” The Queen completed her message with photographs from Iftar with His Majesty and “a remarkable group of young Jordanians.”  

Supermodel and outspoken advocate for Palestine, Bella Hadid, made a heartwarming post on Instagram wishing her followers a Happy Ramadan, Happy Passover, and a Happy Easter. Hadid paired her well wishes with a unifying quote by the late Lebanese writer Kahlil Gibran: “I love you when you bow in your mosque, kneel in your temple, pray in your church. For you and I are sons of one religion, and it is the spirit.”

Kuwaiti influencer and architect Fatima Almomen wished her followers a blessed Ramadan. Almomen added, “May Allah accept your obedience and restore you with health and wellness, O Lord!”

Mohamed Hadid, father to supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid, created a touching Instagram post in honour of Ramadan 2022. Hadid reminds us all to stay strong during this spiritual time, despite the trials that persist throughout the world.

Social activist Farrah Matalka paid tribute to Ramadan 2022 on Instagram, highlighting the Giving Joy foundation’s accomplishments during the holy month. Matalka announced that Giving Joy is “working on supporting Palestinian and Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon” and their “beloved Lebanese neighbours as we enter the holy month of Ramadan.”
