In a dazzling display of cultural elegance, Rajwa Al-Saif, the bride-to-be of Crown Prince Hussein, made a captivating appearance at her Henna party, wearing a stunning traditional dress designed by the renowned Saudi fashion visionary, Honayda Serafi. The much-anticipated event, hosted by Queen Rania to celebrate the upcoming nuptials of her son, was graced with Rajwa’s radiant presence and a dress that exuded grace and opulence. Her Majesty Queen Rania on the other hand, opted for a baby blue floor-length gown custom made by Lebanese designer Saiid Kobeisy.
Around 600 women, including several princesses from the royal family, gathered at the Royal Hashemite Court’s Madareb Bani Hashem to attend the event. The esteemed gathering included distinguished guests, including Princesses Iman bint Abdullah II and Salma bint Abdullah II, as well as members of the Alseif family and women from various regions of the kingdom. As Her Majesty Queen Rania and esteemed members of the royal family arrived, a traditional Zaffeh ceremony and Henna drawing took place to honour Miss Rajwa. A specially written traditional song was performed by talented Jordanian singer Nedaa Shrara, who was accompanied by Diana Karazon and Zain Awad. The Haleem Musical Group, Al Salt Girls Band and Misk Dance Company also captivated the audience with their exceptional presentations.
In her heartfelt speech, Queen Rania expressed her joy and gratitude to all those present, emphasising the significance of the day for all Jordanians. She warmly acknowledged the attendees as an integral part of their collective happiness and extended her heartfelt appreciation for their presence. The Queen spoke fondly of her aspirations for Crown Prince Al Hussein’s wedding and described Miss Rajwa as a cherished future daughter-in-law, evoking the same affection she holds for her own daughters, Princesses Iman and Salma. Her Majesty extended her blessings to the couple, wishing them a future filled with happiness and unwavering support.
Queen Rania went on to describe her son as a courageous and confident leader, embodying the spirit of his father, His Majesty King Abdullah. She commended his commitment to bringing the Jordanian people together, both in celebration and active participation in the wedding preparations.
For the joyous occasion, Rajwa Al-Saif chose a traditional white kaftan as the centerpiece of her ensemble, an emblem of timeless Saudi and Arab fashion. The kaftan, meticulously crafted by Honayda Serafi, showcased the designer’s remarkable ability to blend tradition with contemporary aesthetics. Embroidered with intricate Arabian motifs in resplendent gold, the dress perfectly encapsulated the essence of heritage while embracing modern design sensibilities.
The mesmerising detailing on the dress displayed Honayda Serafi’s exceptional artistry. The golden threads gracefully adorned the flowing fabric, forming exquisite patterns inspired by the rich tapestry of Arabian culture. To complement the ethereal kaftan, Rajwa Al-Saif wore a matching veil that added an element of regal splendor to her ensemble. The veil, adorned with the same delicate embroidery as the dress, elegantly framed her face and cascaded down her shoulders.
