Happy moments shared with family and friends were celebrated on the runway at Georges Hobeika’s Spring-Summer 2023 show. The Arab-owned fashion brand enlisted its associates and family-related models to debut its couture collection on the first day of Paris Couture Week this season. At times, these family members-slash-models walked hand-in-hand with their relatives, drilling into the emotional message of the collection.

This theme is close to the heart of the Georges Hobeika brand, led by creative directors Georges and Jad Hobeika (pictured above). The father-son team sent mother-daughter duos, twins, and siblings coupled with one another down the runway to convey the importance of spending time with family through fashion–a sentiment that this pair could understand better than anyone. Even a beloved pet earned a spot on Georges Hobeika’s Paris Couture Week runway, cradled in the arms of a model who debuted an embroidered mini dress and matching floor-length cape (pictured below).

The creative directors used design techniques to convey their couture collection’s sentimental theme this season, employing chainlink materials to symbolise our interconnected lives, pastoral imagery to invoke nostalgia from Jad Hobeika’s childhood, and dramatic plumage to convey the emotional gravity of the message. Standout looks from the collection include the crystal-encrusted sheer gown worn by Ameni Esseibi, the suits worn by the Hadban twins, and the awe-inspiring bridal wear look unveiled at the end of the show. Ahead, discover these standout runway looks and more from Georges Hobeika Spring-Summer 2023 couture collection.
