In the ugly and ongoing custody battle between Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis, the former’s earnings and expenses have been laid bare.
According to legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail, the 39-year-old actress and director is worth more than AU $15 million.
In a declaration filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court on March 23, Wilde said she has AU $970,000 in bank accounts, AU$5.8 million in stocks and bonds and over AU $9 million in real estate. Per the report, her monthly income is AU $107,000.
As well as what Wilde earns, the document also outlines what she spends which is around $161,000 a month on her mortgage and living.
“The sealed and private documents that were leaked today are the utmost breach of trust and never intended for public consumption,” said Wilde on March 23. “This private family matter, involving young children, has continued to be a tabloid fixture and the press coverage dating back a year has been relentless and traumatic.”
Ted Lasso star Sudeikis’ request to have the custody battle moved to New York was just rejected this week as Wilde argued that the ongoing litigation was draining her finances. The judge rejected Sudeikis’ request and ruled that the children’s home state is indeed California. Sudeikis wanted Otis, 8, and Daisy, 5, to live with him in Brooklyn in New York.
The custody papers were famously served to Wilde as she was on stage speaking at CinemaCon in 2022, an event attended by thousands of entertainment industry members and journalists.
“This is for me? Is this a script?” she asked. “Very mysterious. I’m going to open it now.”
Wilde peeped inside the envelope which was labelled “private and confidential” and gracefully close it and kept going with her speech.
“OK, got it. Thank you”.
Wilde and Sudeikis were together nine years and engaged for seven.
