With this in mind, fine jewelry brand Mark Broumand has revealed the most popular celebrity engagement rings by looking at which ones people are Googling the most. 1 – MEGAN FOX
Megan Fox tops the list of this year’s most searched-for engagement rings, coming in at a whopping 31,200 average monthly global searches. Fox got engaged to Machine Gun Kelly in January 2022 when he proposed to her with a ‘Toi et Moi’ (‘you and me’) ring consisting of two separate interlocking bands held together by a magnet. One band holds a pear-shaped diamond, the other a pear-shaped untreated Colombian emerald, with both gems sitting on 18 karats of white gold pavé set. The ring sparked some controversy online when Kelly revealed that the bands have tiny thorns on them, which makes the ring painful to take off. It’s estimated to be worth a cool $300,000.
2 – Jennifer Lopez
Second on the list is Jennifer Lopez’s engagement ring, with an average of 20,350 monthly global searches. J. Lo got engaged (again) to Ben Affleck in April 2022, 20 years after their first engagement, which was called off in 2003. The second engagement ring Affleck popped the question with is 8.5 carats and features a cushion-cut green diamond (green diamonds are super rare – second only to red diamonds) flanked by white baguette-cut diamonds. These are sandwiched between two further trapezoid-shaped diamonds. So yes, a whole lotta diamond. Lopez also added the words “Not. Going. Anywhere.” which she had engraved to serve as a constant reminder that – this time – they’re in it for the long haul.
3 – Kourtney Kardashian
With an average of 12,300 monthly global searches, Kourtney Kardashian’s oval-shaped solitaire diamond engagement ring is third on the list. Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker proposed to Kourtney in October 2021 on Rosewood Miramar beach in Montecito, California, with a flawless diamond ring worth around $1 million. He worked closely with jeweler Lorraine Schwartz to design the ring, which Kourtney ended up breaking just days after their engagement… Of course, it’s now back to it’s big, beautiful sparkly self.
4 – Meghan Markle
Fourth on the list is Meghan Markle’s engagement ring with an average of 11,500 monthly searches worldwide. Meghan and Prince Harry announced their engagement in November 2017 at Kensington Palace, with Prince Harry popping the question earlier in the month while the pair prepared a romantic home-cooked dinner. Harry is said to have designed the ring, which features a 3-carat cushion cut center diamond from Botswana surrounded by two diamonds from Princess Diana’s collection. The simple gold band was later replaced by a thin yellow gold band set with micro-pavé diamonds.
5 – Hailey Bieber
The next engagement ring to feature on the most popular celebrity engagement rings list belongs to Hailey Bieber, with an average of 9,600 monthly global searches. Justin proposed to Hailey in July 2018, while vacationing in the Bahamas, with an 18-karat yellow gold solitaire band with an oval cut diamond. It’s said to be around 6-10 carats and worth circa $500,000. The perfect way to add a (big) touch of bling to her on-point nail art looks.
6 – Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande’s engagement ring features in sixth place, with an average of 8,600 global monthly searches. The ‘Toi et Moi’ ring, estimated to be worth between $350,000 – $800,000, was designed by her then-husband Dalton Gomez. It features a tilted oval diamond, estimated to be 5 or 6 carats, and a white pearl (which many Arianators believe was lifted from her late grandfather’s tie pin) on a yellow gold band.
7 – Kim Kardashian
The seventh most popular celebrity engagement ring belongs to Kim Kardashian, with an average of 4,500 monthly global searches. Former husband Kanye West proposed to Kim in October 2013 with a whopping 15-carat D-stone cushion cut diamond – the clearest, highest quality diamond. It was set on a platinum band surrounded by micro pavé diamonds and is estimated to have cost around $8 million. Casual. West upgraded Kim’s ring in 2016 to a 20-carat diamond ring, only for it to be stolen in a robbery in Paris later that year.
8 – Kate Middleton
Kate Middleton’s engagement ring is the eighth most popular, with an average of 4,200 monthly global searches. Prince William proposed to Kate in November 2010 with a ring that once belonged to his late mother, Princess Diana, which features a 12-carat oval sapphire surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds. When purchased in the early 1980s, it would have been worth around $35,000, however today it’s worth an estimated $146,000. But with the history and fame that the ring represents, its worth has now increased to around $600,000.
9 – Blake Lively
The ninth most popular celebrity engagement ring belongs to Blake Lively, with an average of 4,060 monthly global searches. The ring was designed by hubby Ryan Reynolds and jeweler Lorraine Schwartz and features a light pink 12-carat solitaire set oval diamond on a 14k rose gold band, which is covered in more diamonds. It’s reportedly worth an incredible $2 million due to how scarce and valuable pink diamonds are.
10 – Beyoncé
Last, but by no means least, on the most popular celebrity engagement rings list is Beyoncé’s knockout diamond dazzler, which gets an average of 3,400 global monthly searches. It was only the best for Queen Bey, obvs, so Jay-Z proposed in 2008 with a 24-carat emerald-cut platinum diamond ring, also designed by Lorraine Schwartz. The diamond is one of the rarest forms due to its flawless clarity and is rumored to have cost a staggering $5 million. He liked it so he put a major ring on it.
