The original Hot Girl, Megan Thee Stallion, is really turning hair looks of late. Although the rapper has never been one to shy away from a show-stopping hairdo, in recent weeks we’ve seen the star (real name Megan Pete) really turn up her tresses. First she treated us to her naturally curly locks, revealing that she was on a journey to grow her god-given mane with a little help from Mielle Organics products. And now we’re seeing Pete don a new icy platinum wig, and it might just be our favourite look yet.
Posting the style to her Instagram over the weekend, Pete revealed the new look. According to reports, Pete’s longtime hairstylist Kellon Deryck was behind the dramatic change. The celebrity hairstylist piled Pete’s new locks into a tumbling up-do, leaving wispy baby hairs around her face to add to the realistic feel.
Platinum is set to be the shade of the season, if celebrity transformations are any indication. Billie Eilish also adopted a new creamy blonde shade, ditching her signature neon green roots for a 70s-style shaggy cut. Pete is certainly no stranger to switching things up however, having rocked every shade from rainbow dip-dye to red, lavender and blue hues.
Hair changes aside, it’s been a big week in beauty for the star, who also became the face of Revlon’s latest fragrance, Reign On. “Revlon’s Reign On is the perfect fragrance for all my Hot Girls. It is fresh and flirty and will complement any summer vibe,” the star said in a statement about the new scent.
She officially signed on as Revlon’s Global Brand Ambassador back in August last year, where she did her own hair and makeup for the shoot. With those ever-iconic looks she’s serving and budding beauty mogul status, she officially takes the title of our perennial muse.
