Kim Kardashian is nothing if not a loyal sister. Whether you’ve watched the family’s reality dynasty grow from the beginning or you’re a humble bystander to the Kardashian machine, the bond between the sisters is clear.
So when Tristan Thompson was revealed to have cheated on Khloé Kardashian multiple times, even fathering a child with another woman at one point, naturally, it was assumed that the SKIMS founder would not want much to do with the philanderer. But over the weekend, Kim, 42, was photographed hanging out with Thompson, 32, after attending Lionel Messi’s debut game for Inter Miami on Friday, despite Khloé and her ex being on the outs.
Dining at Gekko, a Japanese steakhouse co-founded by her sister Kendall Jenner‘s boyfriend Bad Bunny and restaurateur David Grutman, Kim defied the Miami heat in head-to-toe leather. Dressed in a cropped halter top with a button clasp at the neck and mid-rise leather motorcycle pants with a crystal chain belt detail.
She accessorised with a mini quilted box purse in a bronze hue that matched her tan stilettos.
Tristan, on the other hand, opted for a sheer black button-down shirt and relaxed satin trousers.
The Kardashian clan have had their ups and downs with the NBA player since he was first discovered to have been unfaithful to Khloé while she was pregnant with their daughter, True, in 2018. Though they reportedly reconciled multiple times, even welcoming a second child, Tatum, via surrogate last August, she confirmed during a recent episode of The Kardashians that the two are not together.
“Right now, Tristan and I are just friends. I love the relationship that he and I have, but my biggest focus is being a mum,” she said in April, adding that he had other wishes. “I know if Tristan had his way, we would completely be together. I just need a little breathing room and time to think.”
While Kim was the one to break the news to the family about a paternity lawsuit that he had kept from Khloé, the mogul has been supportive of him in public, even posting a sweet tribute to him on his birthday this year. The eldest Kardashian, Kourtney, however, has held her qualms about Tristan for hurting her sister. “We have given Tristan so many opportunities and chances to work on himself and treat my sister the way she deserves to be treated,” she said on The Kardashians, “I just feel super disappointed.”
