It looks like third time’s a charm for Tristan Thompson, who appears to finally have ruined his relationship with Khloé Kardashian for good, following the third cheating scandal the NBA player had been caught up in since the couple first began dating.
Ahead of the premiere of their new show with Hulu, the Kardashian family has been on a major press tour, giving candid interviews and letting the public in on private matters that were otherwise just tabloid speculation.
Given that one of the biggest bombshells in recent history happened in between the OG Keeping up with the Kardashians series wrapping filming and the new one beginning, we haven’t yet heard much about the fallout from Thompson’s latest move: fathering a literal child with another woman.
“With Tristan, I did feel incredibly safe in the beginning and I felt really good for a time,” Kardashian said during an interview with Robin Roberts that aired last night. “I remember when he cheated on me right before I gave birth and I was able to still have him in the delivery room.”
She continued, “So yes, it might have looked strange to the outside world, but when my daughter watches my home videos, those videos are going to be as pure and perfect as I was able to make them.”
Kardashian then confirmed the romantic relationship is over, adding, “I still think he’s a great guy, and he’s a great dad. He’s just not the guy for me.”
A source recently told People that Khloé is “staying positive” in 2022 and that she and Tristan have “very little contact” aside from co-parenting their daughter, True. “She truly seems over him,” the source said. “She is dating and feeling good about herself.”
As for what she’s looking for in a partner? Kardashian said, “I think at the end of the day, all of us aspire to have blissfulness. We want to feel happy, we want to feel safe.”

They later got back together, before breaking up again amid reports Thompson kissed Kylie Jenner’s former best friend Jordyn Woods. Then, in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the pair reunited and were seemingly stronger than ever, before calling it quits again in June 2021 when Nichols gave birth and a paternity test proved Thompson was the father.
When the news broke in March, Tristan posted a message to his Instagram story, saying, “Let the past guide you rather, than making you feel guilty. Let the future excite you, rather than making you feel anxious. Let the present be a gift to you to feel alive, rather than a curse that makes you live in the past or future.”
