From pairing ludicrously capacious Hermès Birkins with track pants for business meetings to using scantily clad photos of herself in bikinis to turn the public’s attention to causes close to her heart, it’s apparent the mogul is unlike her one per cent contemporaries.
For her latest manoeuvre, the reality star turned entrepreneur tried her hand at a viral TikTok trend to market the launch of her new line of skincare-focused colour cosmetics. The result was a now-viral 55-second tour of her SKKN office watched by upwards of 11.7 million users.
We were already aware her Calabasas workspace was anything but ordinary—her custom Rick Owens furniture and in-office car space for her bespoke Rolls Royce Phantom proved that beyond a reasonable doubt. What we didn’t know, however, was the extent of her unconventional decor.
Perhaps you’re reading this story from your own office, observing the sad fiddle-leaf fig plant that’s occasionally watered and attempted to breathe life into grey corporate life. Your desk might have trinkets like a Rhode Beauty lip balm or a Crown Affair hair brush. The video tour begins with Kardashian jokingly saying, “I’m Kim Kardashian, of course, I have all my magazine covers covering my walls.” Next, we cut to a glam room. (Because we know the KarJenners never just have one). Here is where the normalcy ends.
“I’m Kim Kardashian, of course, I have my mannequin with my custom measurements in my glam room,” the 42-year-old says before the camera pans to a sewing dress model designed to her precise figure.
Then, in her office, the SKIMS founder proudly showed off the 3-D renderings of her brain and her private jet which sat on her desk.
Later, we see Kardashian guide us to her in-house solarium and LED light bed. Who needs a boardroom when you can take calls from inside the treatment device à la Jennifer Coolidge in A Cinderella Story?
Kardashian then virtually escorts us to her SKKN product shrine and custom Rick Owens amphitheatre-style lounge area. All we were hoping for at the start of this video was perhaps an inside look at how she organises her stationary or a filing cabinet. But Kim, you’ve delivered so much more. You know that they say, a certain someone works hard but the KarJenners work harder.
