Kendall Jenner has commemorated her reported breakup to Devin Booker with a tropical girls’ getaway – and fresh nails to match. The model is currently enjoying a sunny seaside break with friend Lauren Perez in Hawaii, but she took the time to refresh her manicure before she left – and we’re obsessed with her take on holiday nails.
Jenner enlisted her long-time nail artist Zola Ganzorigt (who is also responsible for Hailey Bieber’s now-iconic glazed donut nails) to create some ‘vacay nails’, which resulted in square-shaped nails with red, black and white detailing. The shades alternate between nails for the base, with a small accent of the opposing colours painted on each.
With the nails in bold, block colour it’s not the typical manicure that you’d associate with a tropical holiday – but we’re loving this chic twist that does away with pastels and shimmers to break convention. Jenner has been showing off her stylish new digits in a series of snaps from her trip, sharing a shot of herself in a black string bikini with her new nails on display.
The reality star broke up with her NBA player ex only last month, with sources close to the couple blaming the split on different pages about their lives. “Kendall and Devin hit a rough patch recently,” the insider told E!. “They started to feel like they weren’t aligned and realized they have very different lifestyles.”
However rumours of a reunion were then spurred after Jenner was spotted with Booker in Malibu in the days after news of the breakup broke, then again over the July 4th weekend in the Hamptons. A friend suggested that the pair’s meet-up wasn’t purely platonic, as they attended a group hang-out with mutual friends.
“They were with a group of friends but they weren’t trying to hide that they were there together,” the source said.
