If there was any doubt of Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker’s reported split last week, given neither the model nor the NBA player have publicly commented to confirm the news, let Jenner’s latest Instagram activity serve as a breakup statement in and of itself.
Over the weekend, Jenner posted a photo of herself sunbathing to Instagram, something that’s already verging into ex-boyfriend thirst trap material. See also, Dua Lipa’s non-stop bikini and holiday gallery in the weeks following her split with Anwar Hadid. But if you thought a bikini photo was enough, Jenner has taken it up a notch. How, you might ask? By posing totally nude.
In the photo, Jenner is seen wearing nothing but a green cap, lying on her stomach on a sun lounger as she checks her phone with her string bikini thrown onto the lounger beside her. For good measure, she rounded out the thirst trap with a random photo of her horse riding, a plate of sushi, a room filled with plants, and a photo of her driving at sunset.
Despite her millions of followers, Jenner’s post was very likely aimed at just one of them: Booker. And it appears to have worked. A few hours after the gallery went up, the NBA player publicly liked the post.
On June 22, Jenner and Booker’s break up was reported on with sources citing the pair wanted different things. “Kendall and Devin hit a rough patch recently and have been split for about a week and a half,” an E! News source said, adding though they had a “really nice time” in Italy together during Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s wedding, “once they got back, they started to feel like they weren’t aligned and realised they have very different lifestyles.”
According to the insider, the break up was Jenner’s idea, who told Booker she “wanted space and time apart.” They also noted, however, it may not be a permanent breakup. “They have been in touch since and do care about one another. They both hope to make it work, but as of now, they are split.”
According to Page Six, in the past week, the exes are focusing on their respective time-consuming and impressive careers to distract themselves. “While they care for each other, Devin was not going to propose marriage and his priority is his career,” a source told the outlet. “Kendall’s career also dominates her life.”
“After two years they had the ‘where is this going’ talk,” the source added. “And since they were not moving forward, it was time to take a break, probably permanently.”
