After just four months of “casual dating”, Jason Momoa and Eiza González are no more. Reports of a rumoured romance first broke in May with a source for E! News disclosing that the Aquaman star attended the premiere of her latest film Ambulance in April. Now, an insider for Page Six says they’re just “very different people” and have part ways.

A second insider for the publication however is “hoping they might work it out.” “They love each other very much, having dated quietly for some time before it became public,” the second insider explained. “[But] they are in different life stages.”

Momoa and González reportedly started dating in February, just one month after the actor announced his divorce from Lisa Bonet. The couple were apparently dating “exclusively” after “meeting through work and mutual connections” according to People.

“She’s more of a long-term-relationship person versus casual dater. [Momoa is] a really good guy, very generous and happy all the time; he’s all about love and spreading love,” a source explained to the outlet.

The 42-year-old split with Bonet, 54 in January and in a joint statement revealed, “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so we share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage.

“We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become…”

Someone close to the pair later clarified that they just had “different priorities”. Momoa and Bonet share two children Lola, 14, and son, Nakoa-Wolf, 13. They met in 2005 and welcomed baby Lola in 2007. It wasn’t until 2017 that they wed.
