Huda Kattan has never been one to stay silent in the face of humanitarian issues.

As the devastation for Palestinians in Gaza continues, the death toll in Gaza now surpasses 11,000, as access to water, food and electricity remains restrained. In response, Huda issued an statement that the Huda Beauty brands would be making a sizeable donation to humanitarian organisations including Human Appeal and Doctors Without Borders to facilitate the aid to Palestinians in Gaza.

She took to her Instagram, in a joint post between Huda Beauty and her personal account, to announce the $1 million donation.

“One month has gone by and we’re still seeing tremendous suffering in Gaza,” the beauty entrepreneur said. “We’re committed to helping in any way we can. Due to the current blockade & humanitarian challenges, it has been incredibly difficult to find ways for aid to enter Gaza, but we are committed to finding a way to reach people there.”

In a second post, she elaborated on the selected partners and their work within Gaza. Human Appaeal is a British-based charity that currently provides basic needs like food, fuel and water to their health systems. While Doctors Without Borders is an NGO that “puts health workers where they are needed most”. With over 20 years of on-ground work in Gaza, they are presently providing medical care to the mounting injured and harmed victims.

“This is only because of you that we are able to make this donation,” she concluded. Before adding, “Together, we can bring change.”
