H&M has teamed up with Brock Collection to make all of our Bridgeton-inspired dreams come true. The LA-based luxury women’s brand, known for its breezy designs and effortlessly chic silhouettes, has joined forces with H&M to bring us a newly released capsule collection just in time for summer.

The collaboration, which launches in select stores including Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Mall, and H&M’S website, will showcase pieces that inherit Brock Collection’s signature romantic style by incorporating its signature puffy sleeves and elevated-casual floral print. The collection includes a wide selection of jeans, sundresses, handbags, sunglasses and chunky jewellery.

Maria Östblom, Head of Design at H&M, shares, “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Brock Collection, who are well-known for their luxe craftsmanship, impeccable fits and structures, and have quite the celebrity following. But there’s also beauty in the fact that their designs always feel down-to-earth, thoughtful and easy to wear — I believe that’s the key to their success. We want to celebrate romance and make it accessible to the many. By adding more sustainable materials, it creates for a collaboration I hope our customers around the world will fall in love with.”

Grazia shares an exclusive interview with Brock Collection designers Laura Vassar and Kristopher Brock below.

How would you describe the Brock woman and how does she align with H&M?

LV: I think inherently all women want to feel comfortable and beautiful in their clothing, and we always aim to offer romantic pieces which is a universal notion and carried through in both our collection, and in our capsule with H&M.

Why was it important for you to bring more accessible, high-street prices to your consumer?

KB: Being able to dress women from across the globe and have access to them, and let them be a part of our brand was a huge motivation for us, and H&M was the perfect partner to help us achieve this.

Was it hard not to compromise on your signature aesthetic when creating a capsule collection for another brand?

LV: The process of working with the H&M team was quite seamless—their teams are so talented and had a strong awareness of our brand, so this was a really natural collaboration for us in working closely with their team.

Tell us about the inspiration behind the collection…

KB: We felt it was important that the collection be comprised of our most beloved silhouettes throughout the years in one collection. We wanted to give women what we thought they would want from Brock Collection in a capsule of this nature.

Do you have any favourite or key pieces?

KB: My favorites are the cotton voile dress paired with the denim shirt—I really love the mix of both pieces.

LV: I really love the slip dress. This is a style that has been many of our collections, and think it is so feminine and flattering on so many different women.

Tell us about the dynamic between the both of you when it came to the design process of this collection. Where do you begin?

LV: This was truly a collaboration between myself and the H&M team. We knew we wanted to look back at some of our favorite styles, and how we could reinterpret these into a Summer collection for the H&M customer.

What is your advice for young, budding fashion designers and entrepreneurs?

KB: I would say to have a really strong sense of your own DNA and why your customer comes to you. For us, our woman looks to us for romantic, beautiful pieces that are timeless and can be worn throughout her life.

Finally, we have to ask about the opening look from your SS/20 show that went completely viral. Can you ever anticipate when a piece is going to make this much noise in the industry?

LV: I don’t think you can ever anticipate what will go “viral”, but for our runway shows we go through many edits of looks, so what you see on the runway are always pieces we feel very strongly about, and of course are always so pleased when those resonate to a larger audience.
