Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika has always been a fan of pushing the envelope. During his highly anticipated spring 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection, debuted virtually at Paris Fashion Week, the Lebanon-based designer once again took the world of fashion by storm.

Hobeika’s latest offerings leaned heavily toward evening glamour, statement dressing and casual daywear, including printed ensembles, asymmetrical detailing, sequins dresses and all the pastel neutrals you could dream of. His Ready-to-Wear garments were nothing short of legendary, including his ability to incorporate the most delicate crafted feather-embellishment throughout his collection.

Known for his dreamy, feminine and elegant garments, Hobeika, whose designs are beloved by everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Lady Gaga and Beyonce, is using the collection to fuse freshness and elegance with dewy and radiant spring designs inspired by the bloom of the delicate orchid. The representation of nature within the collection incorporates the dreamiest fluid and lightweight fabrics, adding couture’s perfect touch to his looks.

The opening look, which set the tone for the collection, was a playful approach to a double-breasted blazer with a deep-v cut and ruffled detailing on the bottom of the dress. A number of various pieces followed, including dresses, jumpsuits and suit sets featuring a majestic charm of subtle pinks, blues, pastel green, transparency and iridescent yellow.

The collection was a 110 look offering, some of which were office-friendly – oversized suits, the ’80s style dresses, wide-leg trousers – others that were less so. But if there’s one thing we know about Georges Hobeika, he knows how to take a glamourous garment and design it for the modern everyday woman – making fashion meet function. For accessories, almost every model held a top-handle bag featuring a unique colourway and platform heels, as we’ve seen numerous designers incorporate into their latest spring – summer 2022 collection.
