The Dubai Mall’s luxurious one-stop shop Galeries Lafayette has partnered with the Theatre of Digital Art for its immersive Fann Ramadan campaign which will see the department store’s window display of ready-to-wear ramadan essentials serve as the canvas for projected artworks.
Fann Ramadan champions creativity with its curation of seasonal must-haves, which include bold, statement-making accessories and structured silhouettes. Even loungewear has been elevated thanks to Kleed’s sustainable, whimsical pieces demonstrating how comfortable and cool can coexist (If only we got the memo when we were building our WFH wardrobe). Men aren’t to be left out, either. Clashing colours and playful prints reign supreme, with the likes of Projects concept store, Y3 and GCDS joining in the Holy Month festivities.
The multi-sensory exhibition unites fashion and technology and demonstrates how creative ramadan dressing can be, despite the Holy Month taking place under restrictions for the second year in a row. The Theatre of Digital Art’s extraordinary projections allows for much-needed escapism and imagination and hopes to inspire shoppers to be creative with their sartorial choices. This isn’t the waist-up digital dressing we have come to know; Galeries Lafayette’s Fann Ramadan campaign takes the term to whimsical new heights by using pixels over textiles.
The Fann Ramadan campaign will run until 15 May at Galeries Lafayette The Dubai Mall.
