The yearlong cultural movement Qatar Creates has reeled in plenty of enriching experiences for art lovers. This week has been specifically pivotal for fashion in Doha with rolling events, like Fashion Trust Arabia 2022 and the grand opening of the “Forever Valentino” exhibition by the Italian fashion brand. “Forever Valentino” is a celebration of the storied heritage house’s triumphs over the last six decades and will run from the 28th of October 2022 to April 1st 2023, at the exhibition at Gallery 1 and 2, M7, in Msheireb Downtown Doha’s design and innovation hub.
The exhibition aims to recognise the accomplishments of the house’s founder, Valentino Garavani, in time to celebrate his 90th birthday as well as the launch of Valentino’s Haute Couture collection, called “The Beginning,” which will be revealed at the birthplace of the brand, Rome, Italy. Valentino’s “Forever Valentino” exhibition in Doha, Qatar, is the brand’s premiere exhibit in the MENA region and the biggest installation it has ever held worldwide. It consists of over 200 Valentino Haute Couture pieces and prêt-à-porter outfits that have been archived throughout the brand’s six-decade run, including pieces from Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser’s private collection of Valentino garments.
