Blue Ivy Carter hive stand up. Some nepo babies may have it all—Kaia Gerber inherited her mother’s supermodel genes, Lily-Rose Depp was blessed with her parents’ theatrical sensibilities, but Blue Ivy is a cut above the rest.

The 11-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and JAY-Z proved she’s that girl by once again joining her mother on stage. Similar to Blue’s appearance at Beyoncé’s über-exclusive private concert in Abu Dhabi earlier this year, the burgeoning starlet took to the ballroom-inspired high-octane Renaissance show in Paris. It’s Blue’s world (tour) and we’re just living in it.

For the occasion, Blue took to the stage in the French capital to perform a melange of songs from her mother’s multi-platinum charting and award-winning repertoire. Our 11-year-old selves doing our silly little performances in our family living rooms could never imagine sharing the stage with our parents in front of 80,000 people, but for this family of billionaire entertainers, it’s merely a right of passage.

Dressed in matching ensembles, Blue made her Renaissance tour debut with the song “My Power” from Beyoncé’s 2019 album “The Lion King”. “This is my kin folk, that’s my bloodline,” Beyoncé sang as Blue stepped out in a pair of silver metallic parachute pants and a high-shine sequinned turtleneck.

As members of the Beyhive pointed out on Twitter, Paris is where Blue Ivy was conceived so it’s very much a full-circle moment for the Carters to have their oldest daughter perform on stage in the city where she was “made”, as JAY-Z describes it on his song “Glory”.

Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles-Lawson took to Instagram to reveal further details about her impromptu performance, adding that Blue learnt the choreography (which took the professional dancers months to perfect) in a “little over a week”.

Knowles-Lawson also noted that the “smooth swag” her granddaughter emitted on stage reminded her of the legendary princess of R&B, Aaliyah. Fans echoed this sentiment on social media, also noting that Blue gave off major Solange vibes.

Naturally, Twitter was sent into a flurry by the performance. “Blue Ivy is so disrespectful for eating her mother up like this,” wrote one fan on Twitter while another added, “ How cute blue ivy’s mother singing backup vocals while Blue leads the choreo!”

If this is what ‘take your daughter to work day’ is like in Hollywood, we need it to be a daily occurrence.

While we had to watch this culture-defining moment from an iPhone screen, the likes of Kylie Jenner, Selena Gomez and Natalie Portman were all in attendance in Paris to watch this momentous occasion in real life. A fitting crowd considering Blue is the youngest-ever Grammy Award winner.

Now, we’re just waiting for Beyonce to run it back with her twins, Rumi and Sir.
