South Korean girl group BLACKPINK has been making waves in recent years for selling out records and tours and being the first Asian act to headline at Coachella. On 17th May, the vocalist of the group BLACKPINK, Rosé, made her official red carpet debut at the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival. She looked stunning in an open-back sensual Saint Laurent ensemble in black attending the premier of Strange Way of Life, directed by  Pedro Almodóvar. Fans of BLACKPINK quickly took to social media with the hashtag #ROSÉAtCannes2023 which soon started trending.

The global ambassador of the luxury designer brand Saint Laurent did not come alone, and her date for the event was none other than Saint Laurent’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello. Rosé completed her look for the evening with minimal glam and debuted an Audrey Hepburn-esque hairdo with wispy bangs. The Tiffany and Co. ambassador represented the jewellery brand by wearing statement blue sapphire diamond earrings and a ring.

Earlier she attended the premiere of Pedro Almodóvar’s short film Strange Way Of Life which marked the debut of Saint Laurent Productions. Strange Way Of Life stars Ethan Hawke as Sheriff Jake, and Pedro Pascal as Silva. Anthony took on the role of an associate producer and costume designer for the film. The pop star was captured wearin casual attire and walking arm-in-arm with Emmanuel Tomasini, Saint Laurent’s Womenswear VIP Director.

BLACKPINK’s Rosé isn’t the only member that is making her debut at the French film festival, member Jennie will be reportedly be attending the premier of The Idol, the HBO series where she will be starring alongside The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp.
