A Korean girl group headlining at one of the largest, and most famous music festivals in the United States and the world sounds like a dream, doesn’t it? Blackpink performed at the coveted music festival last Saturday. Consisting of members Jennie, Lisa, Rosé and Jisoo, Blackpink is essentially Gen Z’s version of Spice Girls. With an impressive fan following across the world, the Korean girl group took over the main Coachella stage and brought the house down with their killer performances, theatrics, vibrant pink fireworks, stunning visuals, and a live band. What’s more impressive is that it only took them three years to upgrade from Sahara Stage to the main stage since their first performance. As is customary with Blackpink, the members wore custom outfits designed according to each member’s stunning style as they are known for wearing cutting-edge designs and high-end fashion pieces, which have inspired many fans and fashion enthusiasts. Here’s the rundown of every fit from Blackpink Coachella 2023.

All the members of Blackpink wore outfits from different luxury brands and they had a total of three outfits for the entire setlist. To a crowd of, reportedly, over 125,000 people, Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé used the ground-breaking moment to pay homage to Korean heritage by arriving onstage in hanboks: a traditional type of dress.

The garments were shrugged off a few seconds into their opening track, Pink Venom, revealing their coordinated-but-individual black and pink ensembles by Dolce & Gabbana for the first week, reflecting their group’s name. Each outfit reflected the idol’s persona brilliantly.

The members performed their solo releases in Act II of their set. As a spectator, it was interesting to note that each member of Blackpink donned a distinctive ensemble that reflected their individual styles and the theme of their respective songs.

Jennie was the first to perform, starting with her unreleased single You & Me. For her rendition, the Chanel global ambassador wore a bespoke ballet-inspired outfit from the Korean brand Denicheur. The outfit featured a pearl-encrusted crop top, and a tutu-mini skirt layered over white shorts screaming balletcore. Known for her love for quirky hairstyles, Jennie tied her in a cute two-sided high pony.

She wore her trusty SimiHaze eye stickers to bring the look together to perfection, and this isn’t the first Blackpink was caught wearing SimiHaze either. It’s bound to happen again since the girls are good friends.

Jennie went for a whimsical aesthetic for weekend two with a teal satin crop top and boyshorts from Alessandra Rich’s Spring 2023 collection. She added knee-high socks and braided hair to finish the look.

Jisoo, Dior’s official global ambassador, followed with her recent single titled Flower wearing a red David Koma dress adorned with plastic florals.

Keeping with the song’s theme, she wore a lilac tulle mini- dress from Aadnevik’s spring 2022 collection for weekend two.

Celine’s muse Lisa, meanwhile, donned a laser-cut body suit from Yueqi Qi over a Mugler bodysuit for performing an unreleased explicit version of her viral hit, Money.

Service us a superhero look, Lisa put on a stunning metallic bodice, crystal chain-mail skirt and sequined sleeve for her second look.

Returning with their hard-hitting songs for the encore, the members opted for a black and silver theme outfit for a sleek look that exudes luxury and glamour.

Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo adorned custom Grace Elwood crop tops with shorts, while Jennie wore Rui’s signature cut-out arm sleeve and bodysuit. The beaded embellishments accessorised with leather boots unified the looks perfectly.

The weekend two outfits were diverse as Jennie kept it simple with a white Koma belted bra and midi skirt under a Mugler cutout bodysuit. Jisoo wore chainmail halter top from Koma’s pre-fall 2023 collection and Lisa wore a similar ensemble but from Koma’s spring 2023 collection. She also added a black and white motorcycle jacket by Debby Upper, a Korean label. Rosé wore a black Koma belted bra under a sheer black dress from  Koma’s 2023 resort collection.
