During the launch of a limited-edition capsule collection in collaboration with Calvin Klein in Seoul, Jennie Kim teased a snippet of what her fans speculate is a song featuring The Weeknd. Jennie, one of the quartets forming the South Korean girl group Blackpink, was recorded manning the sound system and playing a sultry song during the launch party alongside Palestinian DJ duo SimiHaze. As the trio including Simi Khadra, who also happens to be Abel’s girlfriend, jammed to the song and fans couldn’t help but notice that the vocals sounded very much like the Canadian singer and Jennie.

Last year, Jennie was cast in the upcoming HBO show The Idol produced and starred by The Weeknd. Fans are convinced the song will possibly be on the show’s official soundtrack.

But that’s not all, Jennie actually posted the video later on her official Instagram account tagging Abel and The Idol‘s Instagram pages presumably confirming the unreleased track as part of the show’s soundtrack. We’ve got more proof as the Khadra twins did the same on their joint Instagram accounts tagging Jennie, The Weeknd and The Idol.

Earlier, The Weeknd had released the track Double Fantasy featuring Future from the show’s soundtrack after debuting the song live during Metro Boomin’s Coachella performance. The series co-created by The Weeknd and Euphoria’s Same Levinson is gaining much attention due to its racy trailers and a star-studded cast including Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie Kim, Troye Sivan and more. And this teaser is only raising more anticipation for the upcoming series.

The Idol is set to release on 4th June on HBO.
