On the final days of the 75th annual Cannes Film Festival, Bella Hadid lent a fitting grand finale to her streak of archival red carpet looks with the inclusion of a rare gown. At the premiere of Les Bonnes Étoiles overnight, the supermodel wore a slinky long sleeve white gown which featured a small cutout at the hip with a gold buckle.

Fashion enthusiasts and eagle-eyed fans alike would immediately recognise the dress as Tom Ford-era Gucci from the Fall 1996 collection, acquired by vintage dealer Lab2022. It was first worn by American model and actress Carolyn Murphy and is very rare, almost impossible to purchase nowadays.

The recent look follows a string of equally-iconic ensembles including three different archival Versace looks and a mysterious vintage Chanel dress which Hadid wore for the celebrity-fuelled Chopard Loves Cinema dinner this week.

Off the red carpet, the 25-year-old has become known for filling her personal wardrobe with unique vintage finds and thrifted pieces. Her recent style has become so popular that fans are continually on the hunt for the model’s own Depop account.

“In the last year, it was really important for me to learn that even if people talk about my style or if they like it or if they don’t, it doesn’t matter, because it’s my style,” Hadid told WSJ Magazine when discussing her personal style. “When I leave the house in the morning, what I think about is: Does this make me happy? Do I feel good in this and do I feel comfortable?”
