Bella Hadid’s Cheekbones Have Entered The Cannes Film Festival
Now, can we get them in slow motion, please?
CANNES, FRANCE: Bella Hadid has touched down on the Côte d’Azur to attend the 75th anniversary of the French film L’Innocent (The Innocent) at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
Gliding out of the palatial doors of the famous Hotel Martinez – the scene of many a glamorous party along the la Croisette this week – Hadid’s black dress floated atop of the cobbled-stoned driveway beneath her. Utilising her good relationship with Donatella Versace, the Italian house loaned the model a 1987 custom-designed dress by the late Gianni Versace for the evening.
But it was when Hadid got to the Grand Théâtre Lumière that she really brought the fire. A seasoned pro at being photographed in motion, Hadid held herself in posture perfect poses so well that the flank of black suits with lenses got more money shots than they ever intended. Queen of the Pose Coco Rocha was close by too, serving up some fabulous silhouettes. The crowd was roaring.
Hadid’s eyes were lined heavily both along the waterline and the upper lid, which stretched out into the perfect wing. Her cheekbones were illuminated to the point that someone in Nice could probably see them. (I’m taking a wild guess here but I want to say this is the work of makeup artist Sam Visser. Will report back.) Hadid’s hair, dark and delicious, was swept back into a wet-look braided bun, with just a few tendrils left out as long bangs. While this interesting take on the fringe was styled to the side to begin with, the wind was picking up on the carpet and Hadid’s hair was everywhere. Cue: this fierce look which simultaneously flicked her hair back in place. What a pro.
