Kim Kardashian West has broken the internet once again thanks to her hilarious Saturday Night Live debut over the weekend. Among other things, the reality TV star turned SKIMS and KKW Beauty founder not only roasted her ex-husband, Kanye West, her entire family (and herself), but appeared in skits as The Bachelorette, Princess Jasmine (comedian Pete Davidson played Aladdin) and in “The People’s Kourt,” in which she played her older sister, Kourtney.

During her opening monologue, Kardashian made jokes about pretty much everyone close to her, including the father of her four children, West. Addressing her divorce, Kardashian, who introduced herself to the audience using her married name, called West “the best of all time,” adding he’s “the richest Black man in America, a talented legit genius who gave me four incredible kids.”

She continued, “So when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to one thing—his personality.” As the audience laughed, Kardashian added, “I know it sounds mean, but people keep telling me that comedy comes from truth. And if there’s one thing that I always strive to be, it’s genuine.”

Making jokes to millions about your ex could go pretty badly (it did so when Davidson decided to address his short engagement to Ariana Grande on the very same show), but it turns out, not only did West know his ex-wife was going to roast him, he was front row to watch it. According to People, the rapper, who has been SNL’s musical guest seven times, arrived in New York City early Saturday to help Kardashian prepare for her debut. The two were seen exiting a hotel together, before West escorted Kardashian to NBC Studios.

Furthermore, a source told E! News last week “Kim has consulted with Kanye and asked for feedback” for her big gig, adding that she “values his opinion creatively and artistically. They’ve talked about some different ideas and he has been very supportive.”

Then on the night, according to onlookers who spoke to Page Six, the former couple “kept waving and making eyes at each other” as Kardashian stood on the stage. After publicly supporting Kardashian by watching her opening, which he had previously seen during rehearsals, West reportedly got up and went backstage.

Following the show, Kardashian threw an intimate private afterparty at a New York restaurant, which West didn’t attend. Her mother, Kris Jenner, sister Khloe Kardashian, and friends Jonathan Cheban, Scott Disick, Gayle King and Amy Schumer, who appeared in one of the skits on the night, were all in attendance.

Since Kardashian surprised everyone by appearing on stage at West’s final Donda listening party wearing a Balenciaga wedding dress in August, it’s been rumoured the pair could be attempting to reconcile their romance.

TMZ reported following the show that West and Kardashian were putting their divorce, which Kardashian filed for in February, on hold to work “on rebuilding the foundation of their relationship.” The outlet noted the former couple’s childrenNorth, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and their youngest, Psalm, 2—were playing a big part in them deciding to try to keep their family together.

Following her appearance on stage to support West, Kardashian posted new photos with him to her Instagram, including one of the pair with their son, Saint.

Recently, West and Kardashian have also been spotted out to dinner together with friends in Los Angeles and many people have noted Kardashian’s continuation of wearing outfits clearly influenced by West in her day-to-day life and to the Met Gala last month.

Neither Kardashian nor West has publicly commented on their relationship status, though actions speak louder than words, and having your ex-husband sit front row to support you is pretty loud indeed.
